Monika Wierzanska-Villar

Director of Regent's School of English

About Monika

My name is Monika and I’m the Director of Regent's School of English. I have an overall responsibility for all the strategic, operational and academic aspects of the department. My role involves leading the team and ensuring that our students have a great experience at Regent’s. I have been here since 2016, I love working with international students and I think we have the most beautiful campus in London.

Throughout my professional career I have worked in many roles in ELT (English language teaching) and modern foreign languages, both in private language schools and higher education institutions in the UK and abroad. I’m a lifelong learner, constantly evaluating my current practice, attending courses and gaining new qualifications to broaden my knowledge and develop new skills.

Outside of work I’m very keen on cycling – I usually cycle around 60-70 miles per week – and I’m also a qualified yoga teacher.
