Nicholas Litsardopoulos

Dr Nicholas Litsardopoulos is a Lecturer in Strategy and Operations whose work spans strategic management, entrepreneurship, innovation, and organisational performance. His academic interests focus on understanding how businesses develop and implement strategies that drive sustainable growth, competitive advantage, and long-term value creation in increasingly dynamic and complex environments.

His research explores contemporary challenges facing organisations, with particular emphasis on entrepreneurialism, innovation management, and the relationship between strategic decision-making and operational effectiveness. He is especially interested in how entrepreneurial ventures and established organisations identify opportunities, adapt to change, and leverage resources and capabilities to achieve superior performance. His work draws on perspectives from strategy, entrepreneurship, and management research to generate insights that are both academically rigorous and practically relevant. His research interests include entrepreneurial ecosystems, business start-ups, digital transformation, organisational change, and the strategic factors that influence firm performance.

Dr Litsardopoulos has conducted industry and academic research in the UK and Europe for governmental departments and non-governmental organisations. He actively engages with the wider academic and business community through participation in conferences, professional forums, and industry events across the UK and Europe. He regularly presents research findings, contributes to discussions on emerging business trends, and collaborates with scholars and practitioners on topics related to strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation, and business development.

In his teaching, he encourages students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset alongside strong analytical and strategic thinking. By integrating theory with practical application he helps students understand how strategy, innovation, and operations can be combined to create successful and resilient organisations that are able to adapt in a rapidly evolving global business landscape.
