Professional Biography

Piyya Muhammad Rafi-ul-Shan is a senior Lecturer in sustainability and operations. Piyya also holds a status of the senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). 

Prior to joining the Regent’s University London, he was working as senior lecturer in supply chain management and organisational behaviour and MBA subject lead at the University for the Creative Arts. He previously worked for the Sheffield University, Coventry University, and Cardiff Metropolitan University. 

He has teaching and research supervision experience at UG and PG levels including PhD research supervision. His main research interests are supply chain risk management, sustainable supply chain management, supply chain design for resilience, supply chain digitalisation, supply chain relationships and the fashion and food industry. His management and leadership experience include course director for study abroad courses, managing international partnerships and program directorship.
