About James

With a career spanning nearly 26 years at L’Oréal, James is a transformative leader currently serving as the Managing Director of L’Oréal Luxe, UK & Ireland. A graduate of the University of Oxford, where he studied Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, James has navigated the complexities of both FMCG and luxury beauty markets on an international scale.

A specialist in brand turnaround and digital acceleration, James brings deep expertise in helping legacy brands evolve and thrive in a digital-first world. In his previous role as Managing Director of e-commerce for the UK and Ireland, he successfully spearheaded the market's transition into an "e-commerce first" business. His extensive global leadership also includes serving as the Marketing Director for L'Oréal Paris across Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East, as well as the Global Deputy General Manager for Lancôme in Paris, where he defined future business strategies and oversaw retail innovation on a global scale.

James is a firm believer that business success is rooted in human potential. He is passionate about leading high-performing teams, operating under the philosophy that a happy, motivated team, determined to "leave no stone unturned", is the ultimate competitive advantage.
