About Kathryn
Kathryn is Chief Development Officer at the National Theatre (NT), where she leads fundraising and sponsorship, with teams in London and New York, generating more than £28 million annually to support the NT’s work on stage and beyond. As a member of the NT’s Executive Committee, she contributes to the organisation’s strategic leadership and vision.
Kathryn joined the National Theatre in 2008, following six years at English National Opera. Her voluntary roles include serving as a trustee of the Bush Theatre from 2016 to 2022, and last year she became a trustee of Birmingham Hippodrome.
Originally from the East Midlands, Kathryn is passionate about ensuring world-class culture is accessible to audiences across the UK. She lives in London with her husband, actor John Heffernan, and their two children.
