  • What traits do you think an effective counsellor possesses?

Academic background and experience

  • How has your academic background prepared you to be successful on this course?
  • Do you have any experience in providing support to others, like volunteer positions?

Understanding of the industry

  • What kind of contemporary issues do you think might influence the counselling industry?
  • What do you understand from confidentiality?

Career goals and future plans

  • How do you see this degree influencing your career decisions?
  • Please reflect and elaborate on where you see yourself after completing this degree

Personal qualities

  • Please reflect on some of your strengths and weaknesses
  • Please reflect on a mistake you previously made and what you learned from it
  • How will your personal qualities impact your career as a counsellor?
