Regent’s lecturer celebrates continued success with breakout hit as sequel officially announced at Berlin Film Festival

Greg Hall, Lecturer in Directing for the Screen at Regent's University London, is celebrating continued success with breakout hit Villain which will be returning to screens for a sequel.

Co-created and co-written by Greg, the original crime thriller became the number one film on Netflix and was selected as The New York Times Critics’ Pick. It also marked the directorial debut of Emmy-winning director Philip Barantini (Adolescence).

Now, the film’s exciting journey continues. At the European Film Market - EFM - during the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), the highly anticipated sequel to Villain was officially announced.

Producers Jason Maza and Ian Sharp of Sharp House Entertainment shared their excitement in Variety: 'We’re huge fans of the original and its creators, George and Greg. We’re excited to bring this sequel to existing fans and introduce Eddie Franks to a new global audience.'
