Regent's University London

Regent’s professor appointed to All-Party Parliamentary Entrepreneurship Advisory Board

We’re thrilled to share that Regent’s academic, Professor Dr Zubin Sethna, Professor of Entrepreneurial Marketing & Consumer Behaviour and Director of Business, Finance & Entrepreneurship, has been invited to join the Advisory Board of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Entrepreneurship.

The APPG brings together Members of the House of Commons and House of Lords across party lines to ensure entrepreneurship remains high on the political agenda, undertaking research and proposing recommendations that strengthen the UK’s start-up and scale-up environment.

As a member of the Advisory Board, Professor Sethna will bring with him more than three decades’ commercial practice, including founding six successful ventures and Chartered Marketer and Manager status, and 26 years of higher-education leadership. This appointment recognises his unique scholarly insight and hands-on entrepreneurial experience and is testament to Regent’s growing influence on national enterprise policy, as well as the University’s focus on marrying academic excellence with meaningful real-world impact and the calibre of talent in our academic community.

Professor Sethna said: 'Having walked the journey as both entrepreneur and educator, I know how crucial well-crafted policy is to start-ups and scale-ups alike. I am honoured to support parliamentarians in shaping evidence-based recommendations that help UK enterprise thrive — particularly at a time when innovation and inclusive growth are national priorities.'

This new parliamentary remit sits alongside Professor Sethna’s extensive extra-curricular engagements, which include media commentary and international partnerships — demonstrating the global reach of the University’s scholarship and practice.
