Professional Biography
Ana is a community psychologist and qualitative researcher. Her research interests include depathologising LGBTQ+ identities, wellbeing issues of minoritised groups, senso-ethnographical methods to investigate memory, indigenous understandings of gender/sexuality in postcolonial settings, the psychology of fashion and colonial aesthetics. She is also interested in using qualitative methodologies to address trauma, the psychological effects of inequality and marginalisation.

Research Interests
Ana is interested in depathologising LGBTQ+ identities, wellbeing issues of minoritised groups, senso-ethnographical methods to investigate memory, indigenous understandings of gender/sexuality in postcolonial settings, the psychology of fashion and colonial aesthetics. She is also interested in using qualitative methodologies to address trauma, the psychological effects of inequality and marginalisation and is currently doing research within the field of sports psychology.
Research Supervision
Ana supervises undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations, co-supervises PhD students and is open to applicants with doctoral proposals.

Teaching
Ana teaches modules at undergraduate and master's level in qualitative research methods, gender and sexuality, the psychology of fashion, and social and community psychology. She has contributed to the redevelopment and revalidation of the MSc Psychology (conversion) course.
