Who you become while you succeed: reflections from a Psychologist's career in the media
What is success? And who do we become in the process?
Drawing on her work across psychology, academia and the media, Dr. Linda Papadopoulos will reflect on the personal impact of visibility and achievement. The discussion will consider the pressures of optimisation, the medicalisation of everyday distress, and the gendered narratives that shape how success is perceived. Linda will explore how to stay grounded in values and meaning in a hypervisible, fast-changing world, including the growing role of AI in shaping identity and mental health – a shift she describes as ‘psychological redesign’.
Facilitated by Professor Maria Kordowicz, Director of Psychology and Research at Regent’s, this fireside chat offers a focused opportunity to reflect on identity, integrity and what it means to remain people-centred in contemporary society.
