On Wednesday 9 July, the 2025 National Student Survey results were released, and we were thrilled to see a significant improvement in our scores across all questions.
Regent’s overall positivity score was 86 – a marked improvement compared to last year’s 83 and significantly higher than this year’s average positivity score for England of 83. It puts us as 3rd overall in London and 25th overall in the UK across universities for positivity score; a result which reflects the strides we have made in reshaping our ways of working and reimagining our educational approach over the last three years.
Regent’s has also been ranked in the top ten for every theme across London universities and we’ve improved on every theme.
On the key question of ‘feeling free to express ideas, opinions and beliefs’ our notably high score of 94.6 puts Regent’s as the top university in the UK and underlines our commitment to creating an inclusive environment where our diverse student community can thrive and achieve a sense of belonging.
On the question of ‘IT resources and facilities supporting your learning’ we scored 86.6. This is an impressive 10 points above last year and reflects our work updating and improving the Wi-Fi network across the campus following feedback.
Reflecting our interdisciplinary approach and the enthusiasm with which it has been embraced, we scored 89 on the question of ‘having the chance to bring together information and ideas from different topics’; placing us 3.8 points above the UK sector, top across London universities, and 5th across all universities in the UK on this question.
On the theme of ‘feedback helping you to improve your work’, we were thrilled to see a score of 85.1 - 2.4 points higher than last year and an impressive 9.9 points above the UK sector. This is testament to the work we've been doing to enhance, elevate and better communicate when it comes to feedback and assessment.
On the theme of Student Voice, we were pleased to see an overall score of 88.9, 3.2 points above last year and 4.2 points above the UK sector for 2025. As we have evolved the Student Voice team to include a dedicated Student Voice and Belonging Coordinator, we hope to see continued progress on this theme. Similarly, our Student Union’s commitment to building community and a sense of belonging coupled with a dedication to boosting visibility on campus, is reflected in our increased score for the key question ‘the SU represents students’ academic interests’ - at 81.8, we were 6.3 points above last year.
It’s not just our scores which have improved this year, our overall response rate has also improved and this year, we saw an additional 100 students taking part.
These scores will help support our ongoing commitment to providing an outstanding student experience. They will also help us identify where we can enhance and elevate our offer to ensure we are consistently delivering a premium transformative education that places our students at the heart of everything we do.
