Developed in partnership with industry

The Advanced Mentoring Programme has been developed in partnership with Gavin Haig, former Chief Commercial Officer of Tiffany & Co. and an experienced leader across the luxury and retail sectors. Gavin brings extensive experience of working with global brands and senior leadership teams, as well as a strong commitment to supporting the next generation of talent.

Alongside helping shape the programme, Gavin is working directly with the first cohort of students, sharing his experience and insights through sessions focused on self-discovery, confidence, networking, workplace readiness and long-term career ambition. His involvement also brings together a network of senior industry leaders, giving students the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with experienced professionals across the luxury, fashion and retail sectors.

On the new Advanced Mentoring Programme, Gavin Haig commented: 'In a world where talent alone is not enough, Regent's University London connects students with industry leaders to build mindset, skills and confidence that define and accelerate successful early careers. Because industry needs leaders who are prepared, principled and ready.'

Regent’s alumni giving back

The mentor community also includes two Regent’s alumni, bringing the programme full circle by enabling graduates to share their experience with the next generation of students.

Kavya Lalit Chatnani, who graduated from the MA Luxury Brand Management in 2025 and is now interning at Moët Hennessy, and Maudo Jallow, Senior Manager at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, who graduated from the BA International Business / International Business (French) with Economics in 2016, as mentors.

Their participation reflects the strength of Regent’s positive graduate outcomes and our global alumni community, who play a key role in supporting current students as they begin to navigate their own professional journeys.

Building skills and connections for the future

The Advanced Mentoring Programme will officially commence on 29 September 2026 with a networking launch event, giving students and mentors the opportunity to meet and begin building their professional relationships.

Over the following six months, students will work with their assigned Lead Mentors alongside their studies, focusing on their individual career ambitions and developing essential professional skills, and have the opportunity to take part in a variety of one-off sessions led by our expert Masterclass Mentors. These masterclass sessions have been designed to align with a different module each month, exploring the key soft skills needed to succeed in industry today.

The programme forms part of Regent’s commitment to connecting education with industry-led learning – giving students access to experienced professionals, real-world perspectives and networks that can help them approach their future careers with greater confidence.
