This course explores the structure of the fashion industry and develops your understanding of marketing, branding and communications as well as the practical skills needed to apply this knowledge in real-world contexts.
You’ll examine fashion within an evolving digital landscape, exploring how innovation is reshaping the way brands communicate, engage audiences and build communities. Through this, you’ll learn how marketers craft compelling narratives, create immersive brand experiences and respond to changing consumer behaviours across platforms.
Rooted in industry practice, this course reflects the realities of contemporary fashion careers, where marketing plays a central role in shaping brand identity, experience and value.

What to expect
Studying as part of a creative community in one of the world’s leading fashion capitals, you’ll develop fluency in the language, challenges and realities of the fashion marketing industry. You’ll explore disruption and innovation across the sector, building the confidence to think both creatively and strategically across campaigns, platforms and audiences.
Working practically in a creative workshop setting, you’ll gain a strong understanding of marketing processes from brand awareness through to engagement and loyalty. You’ll analyse case studies of fashion and lifestyle brands, exploring how they build brand equity, expand into new markets and create multi-channel campaigns that resonate with consumers.
A strong focus on industry connectivity runs throughout the course, enabling you to work on live briefs, engage with guest speakers and gain insight into current professional practice. This is supported by career-focused activities including mentoring, interview panels and career preparation sessions led by high-profile alumni who now work at senior levels across the industry.
You’ll also have opportunities to present your ideas to industry professionals. Recent projects have included pitching concepts to representatives from Harrods, as well as presenting to organisations such as Depop.
Throughout the course, you’ll build practical skills in branding, design and image creation – producing creative content using industry-standard tools. You’ll also explore how emerging technology like AI is transforming the industry and learn to integrate innovative tools and approaches into your creative and strategic practice. To help you experiment, you’ll access:
- Adobe Creative Cloud applications
- Industry software: Fashion Monitor, ProQuest, Statista, WGSN, Business of Fashion
- A professional photography studio
- Media store with cameras and lighting equipment
- Mac/PC labs with editing software
Over the three years, your learning will progress from analysis and experimentation to independent creative and strategic practice.
In your first year, you’ll analyse and evaluate stories used in current campaigns. In your second year, you’ll experiment with re-telling these stories by finding innovative new angles and experimenting with brand positioning. You'll also have the opportunity to take part in placement sourcing workshops to secure an internship, or study abroad for a term in destinations such as Europe, Australia, the US or Dubai – developing insight into how culture and context shape fashion trends and markets.
In your final year you’ll create original campaigns and strategic concepts that respond to industry challenges, presenting your ideas to professional audiences. Learn more!

A tailored experience
We put you in the driving seat – shaping your education from day one:

Foundation year
In your Foundation year, you'll gain a solid grounding in academic skills and principles, as well as an introduction to your chosen subject area. It will provide a rich and varied experience to ensure you’re prepared for degree-level study in the UK – ready to develop specialist knowledge and confidently make the most of your course.
Some modules will be taken with students heading towards the same or related subject areas, while others will be taken with a blend of students – enabling you to mix with peers who bring a range of different perspectives and experiences to the classroom. You’ll take two modules related to your subject area and eight shared modules covering key skills like communication, critical thinking, cultural understanding, politics, data, creativity and entrepreneurship.
Once you’ve successfully completed your Foundation year, you’ll directly progress to Year 1 of your chosen degree-level course.
